WHAT WERE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR TRAINING AT SERVILLES? The opportunity to work on shows and events was awesome. I got to do a lot outside of the Academy, which only made me love it more.
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND SERVILLES ACADEMY? IF SO, WHY? Definitely, if you want a quality education and ample opportunities then Servilles Academy is the way to go.
WHAT SORT OF THINGS DID YOU DO WHILE TRAINIG AT SERVILLES? I was doing in house Academy shows and competitions, learning from Paul Serville himself. We had famous stylists/artists come in and do demos for us.
HAVE YOU FOUND THAT HAVING TRAINED AT SERVILLES ACADEMY HAS HAD A DIFFERENT RESPONSE IN THE INDUSTRY COMPARED TO OTHER HAIR TRAINING PROVIDERS? I’ve never trained with any other training providers so it’s hard to say, but I definitely get a lot more of a response when I say that I have trained at the Servilles Academy.
DO YOU BELIEVE SERVILLES ACADEMY PROVIDED YOU WITH ALL THE KNOWLEDGE YOU NEEDED TO STEP OUT INTO A SALON? Definitely they gave me all the skills that I needed and then when I started working for the salons, they gave me further training and taught me new skills
WAS IT EASY TO FIND A JOB AFTER YOU COMPLETED YOUR TRAINING? I was offered a job when I was training at the academy. I wouldn’t say it was easy, I had to work hard to be noticed but it definitely paid off

WOULD YOU CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR CAREER SO FAR? Not at all, I am happy with how far I have come
HOW DO YOU SEE THE HAIRDRESSING INDUSTRY TODAY? It’s becoming more and more competitive and colour is becoming more creative out there
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE CLIENT? Yes and she is actually one of my friends. She always lets me try new things on her and it’s so fun every time! I always look forward to doing her hair
WHOSE HAIR WOULD YOU LOVE TO STYLE? Lorde

WHAT DOES HAIRDRESSING MEAN TO YOU NOW, AND DID IT ALWAYS MEAN WHAT IT DOES NOW? It’s a creative outlet for me now, it wasn’t always but as I learnt more and met more amazing stylist’s it just made me want to be more creative and get my brand out there.
WHAT CAN YOU TELL FUTURE STUDENTS ABOUT STARTING A CAREER IN HAIRDRESSING AND WHY WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT? To work hard. If you don’t then you won’t be noticed and you won’t go very far. It’s so true that hard work pays off; you just have to be persistent
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE THINKING OF TRAINING WITH SERVILLES ACADEMY? Get in there as quick as possible, you won’t regret it!
WHAT WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST/MOST IMPORTANT LESSONS YOU TOOK AWAY FROM YOUR TRAINING AT SERVILLES? To never stop pushing the boundaries, you’ve always got more to learn and you will never stop learning, so keep training and keep current with trends
