Our People: Sha Walker

It’s time to celebrate, recognise and introduce to you to our people (both at the forefront and behind the scenes) who are all part of making Servilles Academy such a successful industry leader. Our incredible team is made up of a range of talent and backgrounds, creating a multicultural and fun community of people for our students to learn and work alongside.

Sha is Servilles Academy’s Academy Administrator and the first point of contact for prospective students. She is the person at the end of the line, ready to answer any of your questions and book you in for a tour with our recruitment team.

Sha’s role is to organise and manage the administration, support systems and activities. She oversees the entire student lifecycle from registration to graduation, so she’s there for the students’ whole journey during their time at the academy.

Sha has a background in hairdressing, having started an apprenticeship in Melbourne, then moving back home to NZ in 2016, where she got a job at a well-known Auckland salon.

Although still passionate about the hairdressing industry, Sha wanted to broaden her horizons and, after applying for a role within the Servilles commercial salons, Sha was contacted about another position that the academy thought she’d be perfect for. So here Sha is, two years later as the Academy Administrator.

“I love my job. I like seeing the students’ progress into qualified hairdressers, barbers and makeup artists and enjoy watching them succeed. Another highlight is the awesome team I get to work with every day.”
