The Best Hair and Makeup Looks from the 2021 Golden Globes
Despite the format of this year’s event, with many stars tuning in through live video feeds from their homes, it didn’t stop these A-listers from going full glam on their looks. These are our fave looks from this year’s Golden Globe awards and the talented hair and makeup artists behind them.
ANDRA DAY
MUA: Porsche Cooper
Hair: Tony Medina
Sporting her curly hair in a high, voluminous updo and wearing a bold, berry lip colour, the best actress winner had the perfect balance of sophistication and fun for her red-carpet look.
AMANDA SEYFRIED
MUA: Genevieve Herr
Hair: Renato Campora
On Sunday, we wear pink! As always, the stunning Amanda Seyfried looked like a true Hollywood beauty, with her blonde locks in a classic wavy style. For her makeup, she opted for soft pink tones to compliment her fair skin and coral dress.
CYNTHIA ERIVO
MUA: Terrell Mullin
Hair: Coree Moren
Bold is IN! We love Cynthia’s contrasting neon green dress with her glittery purple eyeshadow, which was placed beneath her bottom lashes as a winged-liner alternative. Paired with bronzed cheeks, nude lips and her shaved hair, this look was bright and fabulous.
NICOLA COUGHLAN
MUA: Neil Young
Hair: Halley Brisker
You can’t not be a little in love with Nicola’s neon pink eyeshadow and cute blonde bob, complete with two green bobby pins. Whilst her dress was fit for a Bridgerton ball, her makeup screamed modern beauty.
ANYA TAYLOR-JOY
MUA: Georgie Eisdell
Hair: Gregory Russell
It’s always a joy to see how Anya Taylor-Joy will present herself on the red carpet. For the event, the best actress winner looked like a complete *queen* in her emerald gown and flawless blonde hair, which was softly curled at the ends. For her makeup, Anya went for a subtle smokey eye and rosy lipstick.
LILY COLLINS
MUA: Fiona Stiles
Hair: Greggory Russell
Emily In Paris star Lily Collins proved she’s as much of a fashionista off-screen as she is on-screen, with a beautifully detailed dress and duo-toned eyeshadow. Her hairstylist, Greggory Russell said, “I wanted her newly chopped hair length to have a voluminous curly texture a la Marisa Berenson to complement her Saint Laurent dress.”
VANESSA KIRBY
MUA: Jo Baker
Hair: Halley Brisker
In timeless Hollywood style, Vanessa chose a classic red lip and pulled-back bun. She told Harper’s Bazaar: “When you have to dress up as different characters for your job, I prefer to just keep my personal style quite neutral… I have a uniform pretty much, all black!”
