JADE ARMSTRONG
Hair & Makeup Artist and Colourist at Servilles CityWorks
What aspect of hairdressing are you most passionate about?
Creative cut and colour work, big transformations, and making people feel beautiful!
How did being a student at Servilles Academy help you attain success in your field?
I work as a colourist at Servilles CityWorks and do freelance hair and makeup for weddings and events when I can. As the Academy is a full-time learning environment, I gained a huge amount of technical knowledge, worked on models and asked as many questions as I liked. I was THAT student! Most importantly, all the knowledge I gained gave me the confidence to go straight into working in the industry as soon as I finished!
What are the most important lessons you learnt from Servilles Academy?
It’s an industry with endless learning! Since hairdressing is always evolving, I keep up-to-date with new techniques, technologies and trends to stay as relevant as I can. I also learnt clients tell you all their secrets (it’s really true).
Which colours are you enjoying creating for clients?
I’m loving warmer, natural tones. The right kind of warmth adds so much glow and brightness to someone’s complexion.
