Established in 1993 by Paul Serville, who has over 50 years’ industry experience - Servilles Academy is renowned as one of New Zealand’s most prestigious Hairdressing, Barbering and Makeup course providers.
With a mission to inspire and influence the next generation of creatives, students at Servilles Academy are taught by industry leaders to gain the qualifications, skills and real-life experience needed to kickstart their career.
Conveniently located just off Upper Queen Street and Karangahape Road in Auckland’s CBD, the academy is a bustling hub with an open-learning space to encourage a community-based environment.
Many Servilles Academy graduates go on to have successful creative careers as business owners, freelancers and technical educators.

Tayla Ashworth
Tayla, is our newest Make Up Tutor at Servilles Academy. She been in the industry for 10+ years. She started her journey here at Servilles as a hairdressing student so it’s almost surreal that I ended up being a tutor here 10 years later! My passion is making people feel beautiful and getting to know their true beauty. I’m super excited to be a part of the Servilles Family.

Mari-Lize
Mari-lize is the hairdressing tutor here at Servilles Academy. She is originally from South Africa, where she trained and taught hairdressing before moving to New Zealand. She has been working in the hair industry in Auckland for a while now, and is excited to share her knowledge and experience with her students. She is passionate about all aspects of hairdressing, from cutting and styling to colouring and treating. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your skills to the next level, she is here to guide you every step of the way.
